St Edmundsbury Borough Council has today published its long awaited “preferred options” for its Local Development Framework. The document says that “residential development will be permitted on” the site to the south of Hambrook Close. 10 new dwellings are proposed. The Borough believes that development “could take place in the short term” A number of local residents have expressed opposition to the proposal. No formal planning application has yet been made. The Parish Council is normally consulted on all planning applications in the village, and is interested to hear your views.  Terry Clements, the Borough Councillor for our area, has also confirmed that the “preferred options” are themselves subject to consultation and those who support, or oppose, the proposal would be well advised to express their views to the Borough
